Today we are going to be discussing the following question: is Jeunesse a pyramid scheme?

It’s a very common question and people have good reason to ask it.

Here’s the spoiler: the Jeunesse business is not a pyramid scheme.

If that’s the case, then why do so many people ask this question?

You see, Jeunesse Global is based on a business model known as network marketing, also commonly referred to as MLM or multi level marketing.

There is a lot of confusion in the general public regarding the network marketing profession, often due to the way it’s been misrepresented by folks who recruit for the business.

But we’ll get to that a bit later.

You’re probably here reading this Jeunesse review because you were invited to check out this business by a friend or family member… or maybe even a complete stranger.

Either way, you’re intrigued at the idea of being able to make some extra cash from your home to help you get ahead in this expensive world.

Jeunesse Global was founded in late 2009 by couple Randy Ray and Wendy Lewis. 

The company saw an explosion in growth in the first six years and by 2015, they generated over $1 billion in annual revenue in over 100 countries around the world.

Where Is Jeunesse Global Headquarters?

Jeunesse Global’s main headquarters is located in Altamonte Springs, FL, but they have 14 office locations in 12 countries worldwide.

Jeunesse sells mainly health and wellness products through a direct selling business model. So let’s talk more about the Jeunesse products.

What Does Jeunesse Sell?

In addition to health and wellness products, Jeunesse also sells beauty and personal care products.

This article is not an in-depth Jeunesse product review as we are going to focus a lot more on the business opportunity that is attached to the company.

There are many other Jeunesse reviews online that focus more on the products if that’s what you’re looking for.

But let’s just briefly cover the ten best selling Jeunesse products.

Reserve

Reserve is a natural health product that Jeunesse claims is a source of antioxidants, combining resveratrol with the following five fruits:

• Brazilian açai
• Pomegranate
• Green tea extracts
• Grape seed extracts
• Aloe Vera extracts

Mind (M1ND)

Mind is a dietary supplement inspired by eastern medicine. Jeunesse claims that it has been clinically proven to support memory and increase mental clarity.

AM & PM Essentials

In order to experience deep sleep and alert sharpness during the day, our bodies require certain things to be in place in terms of gut health and vitamins and minerals.

Jeunesse claims that this supplement regimen delivers just that.

Luminesce

This product line was developed by a dermatologist and according to Jeunesse, assists in keeping your skin hydrated to maintain younger, smoother, and softer looking skin.

Envy

Envy (NV) is a skin bronzer that the company claims effectively hides blemishes and imperfections with the Jeunesse-exclusive proprietary ATP-200 formulation.

Naara

Naara is a vitamin rich tangerine flavoured calogen drink.

Instantly Ageless

This is a skin cream that is designed to target areas on the skin that have lost elasticity, reducing the appearance of under-eye bags, fine lines and wrinkles.

E-vok

This is Jeunesse’s essential oil product line. They sell 5 different scents as well as the diffuser which will slowly release the oils into your home. Much better than the toxic Glade air fresheners that you buy in your local grocery store.

Reveal (RVL)

The Reveal hair care system includes 3 products:

• Scalp Infusion Treatment
• Refining Shampoo
• Leave-in Conditioner

Used in conjunction, Jeunesse claims that the products will “gently revitalize the appearance of your hair and scalp for fuller-looking hair”.

Zen

The Zen product line includes meal replacement shakes and vitamin supplements. Jeunesse claims that this product line will curb appetite, as well as assist in burning fat and building muscle.

Are Jeunesse Products Safe?

Yes, the products do appear to be completely safe. Network marketing companies are generally watched very closely by government regulators. You can rest assured that if there were any safety complaints, they would have surfaced quickly.

Are Jeunesse Products Any Good?

While I have not personally tried the products, I have no reason to doubt the efficacy of them. I have used competitive products from another MLM company for over a decade now with great results.

There has been a problem however, with some of the Jeunesse distributors making exaggerated claims about the results their products could garner. 

In fact, watchdog organisation Truth In Advertising found many unsubstantiated claims and even sent Jeunesse a warning letter.

Are Jeunesse Products All Natural and Cruelty Free?

According to Jeunesse, their products are all natural and no animal by-products have been used at all.

Are Jeunesse Products FDA Approved?

They do not technically have a stamp of approval from the FDA. Since skin care and dietary supplements are not classified as “drugs” by the FDA, they are not subject to direct regulation.

Jeunesse does, however, abide by rules and regulations set by the Food and Drug Administration.

Jeunesse products are manufactured exclusively in the United States.

Jeunesse Business Opportunity | How Does It Work?

As we mentioned already, Jeunesse is an MLM company, also called multi level marketing or network marketing.. 

So what does that mean? How does Jeunesse work?

You see, the Jeunesse MLM company does not sell their products using traditional methods. They are not available for sale in retail stores.

Instead, they allow regular middle class folks like you and me the opportunity to sell the products for them.

So instead of paying huge corporations for advertising campaigns and retail fees, they choose instead to pass profits down to their customers and independent distributors.

With the Jeunesse business model, you would earn a commission every time you personally sell a product. 

This puts you in control of your time and income.

Results are based purely on your performance. If you make no sales, you don’t make any money.

You could effectively give yourself a raise whenever you wanted to because when you need more money, you simply sell more products.

But not only can you earn money when you sell a product, you can also recruit new distributors (called associates) and build a sales team of your own.

So every time an associate in your organisation makes a sale, you would earn a commission from their efforts in addition to your own.

The folks that you recruited into your organisation can also build their own team of associates, and you could earn income from their efforts as well, down several generations deep.

This is really where the power of network marketing sets in.

It’s leverage.

And that’s what business is all about, right?

It would be next to impossible to earn life changing income from selling health and wellness products alone. 

But if you can leverage the efforts of many other people and earn from them, it becomes possible to build a massive income from your home office.

Will it be easy?

Nope.

But can you make money with Jeunesse, really?

Yes.

Many have done it.

So let’s talk about exactly how you get paid with this company if you decide to become an associate.

Jeunesse Compensation Plan

There are 4 main types of compensation plans commonly used by network marketing companies around the world. They include:

• Breakaway
• Unilevel
• Forced Matrix
• Binary

How The Jeunesse Comp Plan Works

The Jeunesse multi level marketing pay structure is based on the Binary Plan.

The Binary compensation plan will allow you to build two teams, or legs, in your organisation. This means that you will only ever have two people placed directly underneath you in your organisation.

You can personally recruit as many associates as you want to, but they will always be added to one of your two legs.

When payday arrives, you will be paid commissions and bonuses from whichever leg produced less income during that pay period.

This is important because it will incentivise you and other associates to build out your teams evenly in order to avoid a lopsided organisation.

This keeps everyone happy and as profitable as possible.

Every time you personally sign up a new “preferred customer”, you will receive a $50 dollar bonus. Additionally, you will earn a 35% or more commission every time one of your customers makes a purchase. 

There is no limit to how many customers you can acquire.

You will also receive a bonus for every associate you recruit, of which there is also no limit.

Advantage To The Binary Comp Plan

The major advantage to the Binary compensation plan is that it produces a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.

Think about it…

You can only have two people directly underneath you, right?

So it stands to reason that when you recruit more than two associates, they will be placed under other associates in your organisation.

So your associates will start to see their own teams grow from your efforts, creating excitement and a desire to add more associates to their team.

And of course, the associates who are above you in the organisation will be adding folks into your team, allowing for quick wins and an early conviction that this business actually works.

How Much Does It Cost To Join Jeunesse?

There are several different enrolment packages to choose from in order to participate in the Jeunesse compensation plan.

The best bang for your buck, and the one I would personally choose, is the Intro Package. It costs just under $400 and includes:

• Some sample products
• Marketing materials
• Personal website
• Online shopping cart
• Business management system

All things considered, it’s really not a bad deal. 

As long as you’re serious about building this business and you make the commitment to stick with it — long term.

Is Jeunesse A Pyramid Scheme?

The Jeunesse pyramid scheme rumours have been pernicious for years now.

Over the last few decades, there have been several illegal Ponzi and pyramids operating under the disguise of legitimate network marketing. 

When these organisations inevitably collapsed, they received a lot of negative press from the media and policy makers. 

For good reason…

A lot of innocent and unsuspecting people got badly hurt and lost a ton of money.

The problem is, the media never made an effort to explain the difference between legitimate MLM companies and dangerous illegal pyramid schemes. 

Instead, they painted everything with a broad brush, leaving the general public confused and scared to join a business model that could potentially improve their finances.

So exactly why is Jeunesse not a pyramid company?

What’s the difference between a pyramid scheme and network marketing?

When you join a pyramid scheme, you simply pay for a spot in a pyramid shaped organisation. There is no valuable product or service offered that the market would demand.

That’s the major distinction.

With network marketing, revenue is only generated when products are sold.

The mark of a good network marketing company is when people who are not involved in the business model still buy and consume the products.

This tells you that there is a real demand for the products in the marketplace, and many people don’t care about the business model.

They simply want the products.

This is the case with Jeunesse.

Look…

Network marketing is not actually that different from a traditional business. There are real products and services sold into the marketplace in exchange for hard earned money.

It’s simply a value for value exchange.

Goods and services (value) are sold in exchange for money (value).

The only difference is the method by which products are marketed and distributed into the real economy.

What About The Pyramid Shape?

This is a valid question. How is Jeunesse legit when the organisation takes on the shape of a pyramid?

Before we go any further, have a look at the corporate business structure:

Looks suspiciously like a pyramid scheme, doesn’t it?

As humans, we will always organise ourselves into hierarchies. It’s what allowed us to evolve into who we are today and climb to the very top of the food chain.

Human hierarchical organisations are completely unavoidable. You see them in:

• Friend circles
• Families
• Small business
• Large corporations
• Churches
• Sports
• Government

The difference between the Jeunesse pyramid system and the traditional corporate system is that it is inherently more fair.

If you were working in the mail room at a large corporation, you would never be able to earn more money than the CEO. 

Unless you were able to climb your way up the corporate ladder, displacing people all the way up, and taking the CEO’s job for yourself.

With the Jeunesse MLM company, it’s completely possible for you to earn more money than those who are above you in the organisation.

If you make more sales and recruit more reps, you will earn more money.

Another Reason For Jeunesse Scam Rumors

Another reason that many folks believe the Jeunesse scheme or scandal rumours is because of the unprofessional way that the business is often represented.

Because the barrier to entry is so low, there are many inexperienced folks with dreams of grandeur who get into the network marketing business.

Often with unrealistic expectations.

They are often under the false belief that this business will be easy and they will become rich very quickly.

But as they’re growing their business, they quickly realise that making sales and recruiting associates is not as easy as they thought it would be.

They start to become desperate.

It’s all they can think or talk about.

Their friends and family become targets. Frankly, many new distributors become quite obnoxious and annoying.

This is off putting for many people and they become convinced that their loved one got roped into some type of cult or scam.

And this is where many of the Jeunesse scam rumours are born.

Don’t allow yourself to fall into this trap!

Before even getting started, understand that this business will not necessarily be quick or easy.

Most people will not be interested, but some will.

It just becomes a numbers game.

If you talk to enough people over time, you will be able to build a profitable network marketing organisation without sacrificing your personal relationships.

When someone tells you that they are not interested, then don’t bring it up again.

No means no.

Besides, why would you want somebody to join your business who doesn’t truly want to be there?

Is Jeunesse Global A Good Company?

OK, so we’ve established that Jeunesse is not a pyramid scheme. 

But is it a good company?

Should you get involved?

The truth is, I don’t have any personal experience with Jeunesse. But they appear to have a pretty solid reputation.

Their products are well respected and considering how young the company is, they’ve achieved global brand recognition.

I would have no problem recommending this business opportunity to you.

The main question you should be asking yourself is this:

Do you have a passion for health and wellness?

Because if you don’t find yourself getting excited about the products, you will not be able to effectively sell them to your loved ones.

You will quickly become burnt out. You will lack the drive and determination that you need when the tough times come.

The first network marketing company I ever joined was also a health and wellness company.

It was a good company. The people were wonderful and the products were high quality… In fact, I still use them to this day over ten years later.

But I was never able to succeed with the business and never earned more than $500.

It was simply because I did not have a passion for health and wellness, so I was completely ineffective at selling or recruiting for that business.

How Can I work With Jeunesse?

When you get started with Jeunesse, you will be given a Jeunesse business plan by one of your team leaders.

This is a business plan taught to every single associate that started with the business.

It’s important for you to follow the plan closely. Don’t try to pave your own unique path, at least not in the beginning.

Remember, when you make more money, your business leaders will also make more money. So you can rest assured that they will not steer you wrong.

Here’s the most important concept you need to understand if you want to experience long term success in network marketing:

Duplication.

Duplication is what happens when you put together a team that can duplicate your results. Each of your team members will build their own, which will ideally duplicate as well.

This is how you build a large team that will eventually keep growing without your efforts.

In order to achieve this, everyone needs to be on the same page. Everyone needs to be following the same system. A system which has been designed for simplicity, effectiveness, and duplication.

Think about what happens.

When you recruit a new member, they will be looking to you for guidance. Whether or not you feel like a leader, you will be perceived as such by the folks that you recruit.

If they see you following the system that you’re taught, they will do the same thing. Because they can see that it works and you’re having success with it.

But if, for example, you go out and learn high pressure closing tactics, you will never experience duplication.

Your associates will see what you’re doing and attempt to do the same.

But high pressure closing is not duplicable. Most people are not capable of doing high pressure sales effectively. They will quickly become disenchanted and quit the business. 

And you will be forced to constantly replenish your team.

You will have built yourself a recruiting job, rather than a network marketing team that can thrive without your efforts and continue to grow your income..

Jeunesse Marketing Plan For The Internet

The system that you will be taught by your Jeunesse team leader will likely require you to make a list of family and friends that you will need to talk to about your business.

This is a fine place to start and as I said, you should.

But eventually, you will run out of people to talk to in your personal life.

By the time this happens, you should have built a sizeable organisation that is starting to duplicate and thrive.

At this time, you might want to think about turning to the internet to expand your business. 

You might feel as though internet marketing is way to technical or difficult for you to grasp…

But the truth is, an effective online Jeunesse MLM plan only comes down to three key steps.

I. Build An Audience

In order for you to start making sales and recruiting associates for your business, you will need to build an online audience that knows, likes, and trusts you.

How do you do this?

By providing value.

The internet has become the greatest source of information in human history. But instead of just consuming information, you will need to become a creator of information.

Understand that no matter how little you think you know, there are always people who know less than you and are looking to learn what you know.

By teaching others the valuable information that you’ve learned in your network marketing journey, you will eventually become known as an expert. 

A thought leader. 

Someone with answers.

You can share your knowledge through:

• Blogging
• YouTube
• Forums
• Social media

When one of your viewers or readers is asking themselves a question, you want to be the person that comes to their mind as someone who probably has an answer.

II. Build An Email List

As your audience grows, you need to start collecting their email addresses so that you can speak directly to them. 

To do this, you will need to create and offer them a freebie, some type of valuable free gift that they can only get by signing up to your email list.

This free gift should offer incredible value in order to continue building trust.

The freebie could be an eBook, MP3 audio book, video course etc.

III. Sell Your Stuff

Once people are on your list, you can begin marketing to them. 

You should continue to provide value through your emails. 

You want your email subscribers to actually look forward to your emails so that they don’t simply delete your emails or unsubscribe from your list.

Every now and then, you can recommend a product for them to buy or take a look at your business presentation… but do it sparingly.

If you try to sell to your list too often, they will become tired of it and start unsubscribing.

A healthy ratio of value to sales is roughly 80-20. 80% value based emails, 20% sales.

This is really what internet marketing comes down to, but it’s admittedly a very simplified explanation.
